We can not say that our country pass through a normal period in recent years… Elections made its mark tol ast year (General Election and President Election). As an agreement could not be get in President election, early general election was called. Later on President was argued in depth… By the way eveything is solved, settlement action was came up to main agenda of 2008. Political darkness achieved to threaten everybody and every sector. When we say “Case is concluded, now deal our own job”, then global crisis broke out. In first days media started to remember year 2001… Then without settling with this, started referring the great recession in 1929. The most popular saying of the recent months is “Crisis”. It is common talk from 7 to 70… Now we have been preparing to leave 2008. The agenda of 2009 is already clear: Local Elections… I think that we will argue these elections for a long time. The point which I wonder most is that when we start production by leaving the follow up these artificial agenda and work for this country…

Despite the financial difficulties present throughout the world, banking sector in our country has been standing already and continue inspire confidence. Despite the crisis call of someone, real economy is supported by Turkish banks. There is no closure at credit taps, there is just controlled flow. Fluctating prices in iron steel sector stopped. Petrol, junk and freight prices considerably decreased. Decrease is expected on kernel prices. Because of the abridge of many of steel producers, some of the kernel producers think abridge on iron kernel. A recession has been living in international automotive sector. Although it is not permanent, some of the companies in our country interrupted production 2-4 weeks of periods. Therefore stocks were dissolved. When we observe the situation of USA automotive sector, we can say that our automotive sector has been shining yet. 2008-2010 Group Collected Labour Agreement negotiation between Turkish Metal Organization and MESS concluded with confirmation on 5th December 2008. At the conclusion of final inspection carried by USA, it is decided to terminate anti-damping precaution against Turkish iron steel export. It is spoken in markets that this decision effects the export to USA in a positive way.
We have been readied to say “Hello” to 2009 with fairs
Sectoral fairs carried in 2008 brought in activity and eagerness to the markets. Similar organizations will be held in 2009.
